Happy New Year! It’s been ages since the last time I gave you a life update, and I’m sorry for that. My MIA status ends today. If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (anapicazzo), you certainly know what I have been up to.

So…*Drumroll please* I WENT TO JAPAN!

I never in my life thought I would get to travel to the other side of the planet and visit one of the craziest and yet most organized cities in the world, of course I’m talking about Tokyo.

Tokyo is unlike any other city, it’s the only place where you will find vending machines on every corner (even in residential areas), it’s the home of honest and kind people that genuinely care about taking care of the environment. The delicious food is only a plus, anyways, I could go on talking about Japan for days, but today I want to focus on the Tokyo Imperial Gardens.

It was my first day in Tokyo, a windy one, the sky was clear and the sun was shining. A perfect day to visit the Imperial East Garden.

The Imperial Palace and Garden are located in Chiyoda, sadly as a civilian you can only enter the palace premises on two special days which are:  New Years Greeting (January 2nd) and The Emperor’s Birthday (December 23rd). However, you can visit the East Garden for free throughout the whole year.

The Imperial Garden is really big, you have to walk a lot if you want to see everything, that’s why I wore my Lolys that day, they’re super cute and they are super comfortable, which was perfect during my whole trip because oh boy did I walk.

I hope this post inspired you to visit Tokyo, it’s the most amazing place ever!

This post is sponsored by Loly in the Sky, all opinions are my own.

Loly in the Sky is a brand that might ring a bell. You have no idea how many times I have heard or seen people wearing this awesome brand, but I had never had the chance to stop by one of their actual stores. I had seen their products and visited their online store a million times, but since they only have stores in selected points of Mexico, I had never witnessed their perfect black and white glory.

So, when I was invited to one of their stores I was immediately thrilled because I had heard so much about the decor and peculiar theme of their actual stores. When I first arrived to the shopping mall where this store is located, I did not have to look for long, the store immediately gets your attention, even from the outside.

The first thing that comes to mind when you enter one of their stores might be “lovely”. This place is filled with unexpected surprises in addition to their beautiful hand made shoe designs.

What I like the most about this brand is the fact that their products are hand made and cruelty free, not to mention the crazy cool designs. If you want to try some fresh and different footwear, you have to order a pair of Lolys.

For all of you that don’t live en Mexico or don’t live near a store, do not fear! You can actually order from their website and get your favorite pair of Lolys 🙂

I think it’s time for me to stop talking, and let the pictures speak for themselves.

November 2016 Favorites - Indie Suns

I know I don’t usually make “favorites” posts, but for some reason I’m totally into these kind of posts, I love to read other people’s favorites because I believe it’s super cool to give recognition to those amazing products that stand out during the month.

So, let’s get started

  1. Victoria’s Secret Passion Struck Fragrance Mist. I first got this product as a gift and OMG you guys, I instantly fell in love with this scent and of course I had to re-purchase. They changed the packaging since the las time I got it, but the scent is exactly the same. I really can’t find the words to describe what this product smells like, but in the packaging it says that it’s “fuji apple & vanilla orchid”. So if one day you find yourself wandering around VS’s mist section and don’t know what to get, just try this one.
  2. Starboy by The Weeknd. I know this album came out in the last week of November, but I just had to include it because I’ve been listening to it non-stop, in fact, if you follow me on Snapchat (@anapicazzo) you already know how obsessed I am with this record. Abel Tesfaye, you are a genius, thank you for making awesome music.
  3. EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit. Another awesome gift! I have to admit that I am a fan of EOS products, they never disappoint me. I am currently obsessed with this specific lip balm. It smells amazing and it’s perfect to carry around. If you haven’t tried this brand, I highly recommend it.
  4. Scarfs. I don’t have an specific “brand” to recommend you, but I decided to put this accessory on my favorite list because I’ve been really into it lately, specially because the days are getting colder and winter is coming. There are a billion stores where you could get one of these beauties from, they come in all different colors and sizes. I really want to get one of those that are huge and could double up as a blanket.
  5. Ray-Ban Round Mirrored Sunglasses in purple. I got these as a gift to myself on my birthday last year, and you have no idea how happy I am that I did, because these are the cutest and coolest sunglasses ever! Even though they are purple, they go with everything. I love this sunnies forever and ever!
  6. Ankle boots. In general, these and sneakers have been my favorite thing to wear lately. They are comfortable and great for those days when you want to look a little more dressier but not so much. Right now these kind of boots are super trendy and you can find them anywhere.
  7. NYX Simply Nude Lip Cream in Fairest. When I first got this product I wasn’t sure that it was for me, I barely even used it, but when I finally gave it a go I loved it! I don’t own many nude lip shades, and this one is great! I get so many compliments when I wear it and I totally wore it all month long!
  8. Armani Exchange Watch. I could not find the exact link to this specific product because I think that they don’t sell it anymore, but I got it as the most amazing birthday present ever 2 or 3 years ago. It’s such a cute piece and it goes with everything. I just love it so much 🙂

That’s all for today guys, Happy December!

Indie Suns - Tennis Court

Do you know that feeling? When you really like a song and you cannot stop listening to it? You even make sure to put it on repeat, I’m sure.

Well, that is me but with this dress.

Problem is… Summer is long gone and the warm days by the pool are nothing but a dream. Long story short, days are so cold right now, that I wouldn’t dare to wear a dress.

I’m not even sure where I got the idea of pairing it with round sunglasses, but the whole look gives me some kind of “tennis player” vibes.

Of course the look would not be complete without my all time favorite sneakers, my oh-so-loved Stan Smiths.

There is no denying that this dress was meant for summer, but with an oversized cardigan, it could totally join your winter wardrobe.

Before you go, let me tell you the very best part of this dress (drumroll)…. IT HAS POCKETS! I genuinely LOVE dresses with pockets, it’s like the best of both worlds. So perfect for those lazy days when you don’t feel like carrying a bag.

Here I Go Again - Indie Suns

It’s that time again, you might not know it because I never tell you but I have this thing in which I really get inspired to write right before a trip. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small road trip or a 16 hour flight to Japan. I admit, I had not noticed before, but here I am, sharing my thoughts with you in a cold night, just a few hours before I hop on a bus with some of my best friends and spend a wonderful weekend in a very interesting city.

I have found out that I tend to drag myself into different routines every season. When it starts getting cold I just reach out for my cute mugs, fruity and warm tea bags, not to mention the latest book I was trying to read during the school semester.

Now that the classes are nearly over and winter is coming (Game of Thrones, anyone?), it is the perfect time to finish reading all those books I’ve been wanting to read during the year and catch up on all those Netflix series.

So, when classes are long gone and I can finally do whatever I want with my time, my routine would be something like this….

Sleep lots

Drink tea

Read

Drink more tea

Workout (hopefully)

Sleep again

I am aware that I totally missed the parts when I eat lots of food (because the holidays are coming, which means great food), and the parts where I spend hours laughing at super cute cat videos on the internet, but since we all love to do that, it’s kind of mandatory.
