There are only a few things that I enjoy as much as going through a fashion magazine or staying in to watch a movie, so getting to do both things at the same time is golden for me. There have been many amazing series devoted to fashion and style, like the oh so perfect Gossip Girl, from the wardrobe, to the locations and the psychology of the characters that managed to inspire us in every single episode. Since the Serena Van Der Woodsen days are long gone, I thought it was time to bring back that amazing feeling, but this time focusing on the major motion pictures. I’ve decided to share with you 7 of my favorite fashion related movies.

1. The Devil Wears Prada

I know you’ve probably seen this movie a billion times, but not including it would be a terrible sin. I won’t go a lot into what this movie is about because I don’t want to spoil it for you if you haven’t seen it. Just watch it and thank me later. This movie was adapted from a book written by Lauren Weisberger, who worked at Vogue magazine for awhile. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out she was inspired by Anna Wintour (American Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief) to create Meryl Streep’s character.

2. The September Issue

Talking about the Queen.

The September Issue is a documentary that focuses on Anna Wintour, Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief while preparing the start of the “Fashion Year”. If you didn’t know, september is like january for fashion magazines. It’s the most important issue of the year, and when you’re the leader of a magazine like Vogue, everything has to be perfect.

3. The Intern

The Intern is a movie starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro. It talks about an old man that applies for a retirement internship citizen program and lands a job at an e-commerce fashion startup. This is the best fashion + comedy combo. You’ll love it.

4. Coco before Chanel

This movie is next on my list when I get to stay in. This french movie tells the story of Coco Chanel, all the way from her origins to the incredible empire she ended up building. She was truly a pioneer in the fashion world and everybody should know her story, plus I’m pretty sure this one is available on Netflix.

5. Funny Face

Funny Face is a musical from 1957 starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Audrey’s character, Jo Stockton, is discovered at a fashion shoot in a bookstore and her adventures as a model take her all the way to Paris. If you love musicals, you will adore this movie. Besides, who doesn’t love a good Audrey Hepburn movie?

6. Confessions of a Shopaholic

A girl that loves fashion, living in New York. Sounds like a dream, right? Yeah, well… things can get really messy when you’re a shopaholic. If you love to shop and your happiness leves rise overtime you see the word “sale” you will relate. Honestly this movie is all of us, and its perfect for a popcorn night with your bestie.

7. Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Another Audrey Hepburn movie and a classic for sure. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is based on a book written by Truman Capote. It revolves around the peculiar life of Holly Golightly, a New Yorker socialite and her cat. If you haven’t seen this one, do it, you won’t regret it. Besides, it has just the perfect touch of romance.

Do you know any other movies that are a must for fashion lovers?

This feels like an official milestone for me, after launching my blog almost 2 months ago, I’m finally posting my first outfit pictures. Isn’t that exiting? For me it kind of is.

This is part one of a three-part post. It’s all dedicated to my ripped jeans. The base of the outfits for the 3 posts is the same, ripped jeans, dark rib t-shirt and sneakers. You’d think there’s no way I can completely transform this look with the same exact jeans, shirt and sneakers, but you’ll be surprised.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know how obsessed I am with my new Ray-Ban sunglasses. Before I found this purple beauties, I was determined to invest my money on the most wanted sunglasses of the year, Dior’s So Real sunnies. For over a month I was completely infatuated by them, until I went to the mall recently and stopped at sunglass hut. My boyfriend and I tried on pretty much every single pair of sunglasses at the store until he told me I should try the Ray Bans and I haven’t been able to take them off ever since.

Now, about those magnificent ripped jeans that I just can’t seem to keep my mouth shut about… They were not that ripped originally, actually it was just a little couple of holes. Has it ever happened to you? You’re casually putting on your favorite pair of ripped jeans and all of a sudden your foot ends up in the wrong place? Every single time my foot ends up on the hole that is meant for the knees, that’s why these jeans are way more ripped than they used to be. But I really like them this way.

The shirt I’m wearing it’s from Zara, I got it like a year ago, so I don’t think it’s still available. But to replicate this look any rib shirt will do the trick. Also the cardigan I’m wearing… I don’t even know where I got it, it’s kind of a long story but my lovely aunts tend to give me clothes that they don’t like or don’t fit them anymore, and I think this is one of those pieces.  I adore this cardigan, it just goes with everything and I’m willing to call it my favorite piece for a chilly day.

What I’m wearing:

Ray-Ban – 3447

Zara TRF Rib T – Similar

Black Cardigan – Similar

Bershka Ripped Jeans – Similar

Keds – Rally Chevron Sneakers

NYX – Simply Vamp Lip Cream in Temptress

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Powder duo in Medium Brown

MAC – Mineralize Skin finish in Soft & Gentle

Believe it or not, we are halfway through january (what, already?). So, how are you doing with your new year’s resolutions? If one of your goals this year is to get more fit, this tips are for you. Not all of us have the money (or time) to sign up for a gym membership, and maybe you do but sometimes you only have a few minutes a day to get a workout and the gym is just too far away, maybe you just feel lazy… there are a million reasons why working out is just not happening for you, and whatever those reasons are, here are some tips to get your fit on, for free.

Drink More Water

So simple, yet so hard. Just ditch all those sodas and sugar filled beverages for plain old water. You’ll see the results in no-time. You will feel more energized. If you want to take this to the next level: carry a re-usable water bottle (be nice to the environment) everywhere you go. Cheers!

Whenever you can, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park you car farther than usual so you get to walk more, you can even ditch your car when you have to travel short distances. Next level: Make a hella-good playlist on your phone or your favorite music streaming app and go for a walk or run around your neighborhood, you can even take your dog.

Workout At Home

There are a lot of different ways for this one, my favorite one is… youtube videos. You can find any kind of workout imaginable, you just have to find a place in your house and press play. My personal favorite is Cassey Ho from Blogilates. She provides you a completely free monthly workout calendar, in which she tells you exactly which of her videos you have to do every single day. All you need is a mat or a carpet. Next level: Make some space in your daily agenda and dedicate an hour a day for workouts (and actually do them) for a month, you’ll feel amazing.

Use Your School / Apartment Gym

This is very self explanatory. Do your research and find out if your school or apartment building have a gym of its own, most of the times they do and the best part if that you can use it for free (it’ already charged in your tuition or rent).

Play Your Favorite Sport

Just call some friends, meet in a close-by park that has a basketball or football field, bring a ball and have fun! You will have a lot of fun and a great workout. The best of both worlds.

Believe In You

You might have access to all the gyms in the world, but if you don’t have motivation you will not accomplish anything. Wether you want to loose/gain weight, get fit or simply get more active, none of this tips will work if you don’t believe in you. When you’re working out and you feel like you’re dying (that would be me), just remind yourself how amazing you will feel when you complete the workout session, what will happen when you keep doing that for a week, then a month, then a year? You can do anything, just believe in you.

Gigi Hadid for Vogue UK by Patrick Demarchelier

Here we are, 6 days into the new year. I’m sure by now you’ve already read a million posts talking about the good, the bad and the ugly of 2015, specially if you’re a pop-culture junkie like me. But we need to talk about this: Gigi Hadid.

If you follow me on instagram, you know how starstruck I am about Gigi, something that a year a go didn’t happen, a year ago the world had no idea who Gigi was, today she’s the most wanted model in the world. Crazy, right?

It’s december once again, which means we get to look back on all the great products that have made our lives a little bit more fun. Today I want to share my 2015 beauty favorites with you. Probably most of these products were released way behind like in 2014 (I really don’t know), but it’s definitely been the year that I’ve been using these non-stop.

my 2015 beauty favs

  1. Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rosé Eau de Parfum
  2. Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Rouge Pur Couture in Soft Fuchsia
  3. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
  4. Urban Decay Primer Potion
  5. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle (love this as a highlighter)
  6. Garnier Eye Roll-On
  7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Medium Brown
  8. EOS Visibly Soft Coconut Milk Lip Balm
  9. Sephora Collection Pro Brow Brush #20
  10. MAC Lipstick in Pink Fusion (I think it’s limited edition)

I’m not going over every single product because it would transform this into a really big post, so I’m just going to mention some quick things. I got the Carolina Herrera fragrance as a gift from my boyfriend, so if you’re reading this, thanks a lot because you nailed it and I love it. Talking about the Urban Decay products mentioned earlier, the quality is so good, the primer potion has never failed me and the Naked 2 has been my favorite pretty much since it came out because the colors are so neutral and vibrant, so you can easily do an every day look or a party one. I’m sure everybody has heard of Soft & Gentle by MAC, it gives you a beautiful glow that is perfect for every single season of the year, if you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend it. I obviously have an obsession with lip balms (who doesn’t?) and ever since I discovered EOS, it has been my go to but this summer I picked up the coconut milk one and OMG guys, it smells heavenly and it’s so soft on your lips, it’s my favorite. Continuing with the lip stuff, this summer I discovered the YSL Rouge Pour Couture Lipsticks and of course I picked a pink shade, it was my absolute favorite during the summer time, I think it was the only lipstick I wore, it’s just so pretty. Last but not least, my gorgeous and perfect MAC lipstick in Pink Fusion was given to my as a gift on my birthday by my lovely friend Dayris. Like its name says, the lipstick is literally a fusion between pink and red with a blue undertone. I had never owned a lipstick with those characteristics so I was very excited to try it out, it’s no surprise that I love it and plan to keep wearing it throughout the next year.
